This project aims to analyse how the presence of multiculturalism in London affects the individual and shared identities in Chrisp Street Market, located in Tower Hamlets Council, East London.

This area has historically been associated with white working-class people that have proudly stated their connection with the place. However, the city’s growth has brought other cultures and people with different backgrounds. Hence, this research displays the connections of people and what they consider as a community in the habitus, as well as how their sense of identity has changed through the years.
