Anti-Portraits

The series Anti-Portraits is questioning the social exchange between photographer and subject and how this exchange becomes visible or disguised for the viewer when the main aspect of the portrait, the face, is distorted or hidden. The aim throughout the project was to create images that will open up the possibility for each viewer to create their own narrative about who the sitters are and what their relationship to the photographer might be.
